Yoga for Prevention of Covid-19 - Intro

The current COVID-19 pandemic has caused increased fear, panic, insecurity, anxiety and stress among people. Due to the prescribed prevention measures, there has been greater distance between humans, so these problems have become even more emphasized. In this situation, we can attest that yoga is extremely important for people to maintain physical, mental and social health, and to continue with our most important task -- spiritual progress.

With this series of short and simple tips, we will present yoga exercises and techniques that will help us overcome the current situation.

Lack of sleep, anxiety, poor diet, lack of movement, sadness, fear, insecurity -- all these factors weaken the immunity and reduce quality of life. Considering these problems, we will suggest ways to be a healthier, happier and more fulfilled person through yoga, as well as how to get in touch with ourselves again – including our higher Self.

We humans are blessed to call the beautiful planet Earth our home. We claim to be the most intelligent species. Yet we pollute our environment and recklessly exploit its natural resources, endangering our own survival.

“The worst kind of pollution is mental pollution,” says Vishwaguruji, founder of the Yoga in Daily Life System. Mental pollution is the cause of all other pollution. We have forgotten our ancestral wisdom, teaching us about the interconnectedness of all existence. The only way to change our actions is to change our mindset. Yoga in Daily Life offers practical tools for awakening human consciousness and taking responsibility for our actions.

Featuring keynote speaker Vishwaguruji Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda and a distinguished, international panel of scientists, social leaders, keepers of indigenous wisdom, and artists, the Earth Day Summit will illuminate the protection of water, land, air, and all creatures, inspiring each of us to do our part in protecting Mother Earth.

Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council in collaboration with Yoga in Daily Life USA, Yoga in Daily Life Canada, Yoga in Daily Life New Zealand, and Yoga in Daily Life Austria is hosting a special on-line event to commemorate International Day of Peace on Tuesday September 21 2021.

Peace is the intersection where human health, environmental well-being, and kinship meet. This event will highlight the role of yoga as a universal world culture in fostering inner peace, environmental stewardship (peace with Mother Earth), and fellowship among humans of all nations, races, and cultures.

Foundational to the practice of yoga, inner peace, and world peace is ahimsa. Ahimsa paramo dharma is the eternal truth that the purpose of human life is to protect, serve, respect and love all humans, all creatures, and all life on this planet. This event will feature keynote speaker, Vishwaguruji Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda , who has dedicated his life to the teaching of ahimsa paramo dharma and its role in fostering a culture of peace on Earth.
